Splice Alternatives for Vocals (2026): Where to Get Full Vocals, Not Just Loops

The best Splice alternative for vocals depends on what you need. For loops and one-shots, Loopcloud is the closest match. For a full vocal with verse, chorus and stems that you can build a release around, you need a vocal marketplace instead, such as Voxalized, The Vocal Market, Vocalfy or Voqlr. This guide compares the options on price, license and what is actually in the download, with prices checked on September 27, 2026.

What Splice is good at

Splice is the largest sample subscription for producers, with more than 3 million sounds. You pay monthly and spend credits: one credit per sample, up to three for MIDI and presets. According to Splice's plans page, Sounds+ is $12.99 a month billed yearly with 100 credits, and Creator is $19.99 a month with 200 credits. Credits roll over while you stay subscribed, and everything you downloaded stays licensed after you cancel.

Splice's license terms grant a royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual right to use the sounds in your own productions. You may not resell them on their own, put them into new sample packs, or use them to train AI models. For drums, textures, one-shots and ear candy, it is hard to beat.

In April 2026 Splice also launched generative tools built on its catalogue, such as Variations, which creates new versions of a sample in a different key or tempo. Splice says the original creator is paid each time their sound is used as a source.

What producers miss on Splice

I have worked with Splice a lot. These are the limits I kept running into when I needed vocals.

Full vocals are hard to find. A complete vocal with a verse, a hook and a second verse is rare. Most of what you find are single phrases. The acapella category on Splice is built around hooks, chops and one-shots, most of them between 7 and 48 seconds long.

Quantity over curation. There is a huge amount of material, and the quality varies. Finding something that is genuinely top-notch takes a long search.

What you find is often overused. Splice is the number one destination for producers, so the best sounds end up everywhere. That is not a secret: the three loops behind Sabrina Carpenter's "Espresso" came from a single Splice pack, as MusicRadar's breakdown of Espresso showed. For a drum loop that is fine. For the vocal that carries your track, it is a problem.

No cover vocals. I found no cover vocals on Splice, and its rules for sample providers exclude material made from existing songs. If you want to build a streaming profile as an artist, cover vocals are one of the most reliable tools, and you will not get them here.

You cannot see who sang. There were claims in the past that some vocal packs contained AI vocals. I believe that is no longer the case, but you can never be completely sure, because the individual singers are not traceable. Loopcloud

Loopcloud from Loopmasters works like Splice: a subscription with points, from €6.99 a month for 100 points, and a royalty-free license for use inside your music. Its strength is the browser-and-plugin workflow, where you audition loops in time and key with your project. For vocals it has the same limitation as Splice: phrases and one-shots, not full songs.

Tracklib

Tracklib is a different idea. It lets you sample real recordings from its catalogue of more than 100,000 songs and handles the clearance. In return, a share of your track's revenue goes to the rights holders of the sampled song. It also has a royalty-free sound library. If you want to flip a real soul or funk vocal legally, Tracklib is the option. If you want to keep all of your master income, it is not.

Vocal marketplaces

Vocalfy, The Vocal Market, Voqlr and Voxalized all sell full vocals one at a time, recorded by a named singer, with a written license. Most include a dry and a wet lead, and many include doubles, harmonies and ad-libs. The differences are in the catalogue, the genre focus and the license details, so read the license page of each before you buy.

On Voxalized every purchase comes with a personalized license agreement as a PDF. Standard gives you the lead vocal dry and wet. Professional adds the premixed vocal, doubles, harmonies, backings, extra stems, MIDI and lyrics. You can compare the license tiers before buying.

Free alternatives

Looperman and Freesound cost nothing. Looperman acapellas are uploaded by users and are non-commercial by default unless the uploader says otherwise, and some uploaders require a credit. Freesound files carry Creative Commons licenses, and CC BY-NC forbids commercial use. Both are fine for sketches. Check the terms of every single file before you release. Hiring a singer

The last option is to hire a session singer on SoundBetter or Fiverr and get a vocal written for your track. You get something nobody else has. You also pay a fee and, often, a share of the royalties. As a full-time producer, I find that rarely adds up. The numbers are in exclusive vs non-exclusive vocals.
